Terms of Service
Plain terms for a simple service: free tools, no account, and a few things worth knowing before you rely on them.
Last updated: July 11, 2026
Acceptance of these terms
By using PDFBell (pdfbell.com) and any of its tools, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the site. We may update these terms as PDFBell changes; continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised terms.
The service, as provided
PDFBell provides free, browser-based tools for working with PDF files — merging, signing, converting, cropping, splitting, organizing, and compressing. All processing happens locally in your browser using pdf-lib and pdf.js; see our Privacy Policy for details. The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a dedicated uptime guarantee, and features may be added, changed, or removed as the site develops.
No warranty
PDFBell is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don't guarantee that any tool will be error-free, uninterrupted, or produce a result suitable for every use case. To the fullest extent permitted by law, PDFBell and its operator are not liable for any damages — direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential — arising from your use of the site or its tools.
You're responsible for your own files
Because every PDFBell tool runs entirely in your browser, you retain full control of, and full responsibility for, the files you process — including making sure you have the right to use, edit, or sign the documents you upload, and keeping your own backup copies before and after processing. We recommend checking the output of any tool, particularly Merge, Delete Pages, and Organize, before relying on it for anything important, such as a legal filing or a signed contract.
Sign PDF is not a certified electronic signature service
The Sign PDF tool lets you draw, type, or upload an image of your signature and place it onto a PDF. This produces a visual signature only. PDFBell is not an eIDAS-qualified or ESIGN-compliant certified electronic signature provider, does not verify signer identity, and does not generate a tamper-evident audit trail or certificate of completion. Do not rely on Sign PDF for documents that legally require a certified or notarized electronic signature — check your jurisdiction's requirements and use a qualified provider for those cases.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use PDFBell to process files you don't have the legal right to handle, to attempt to disrupt or overload the site, to reverse-engineer the tools for the purpose of causing harm, or to use the service for any unlawful purpose. We reserve the right to block access from any source we reasonably believe is abusing the service.
Changes to the service and these terms
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of PDFBell at any time. We may also update these Terms of Service as the site evolves; the “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent revision.
